Health Care Professionals:

Physicians and Medical Specialists

The CFC Medical Clinic uses primary-care physicians, nurse practitioners, specialists, diabetes educators, nutritionists, physical therapists, and chiropractors to see patients during our evening clinics on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Contact CFC Patient Care Manager Christine Worsham at 434-295-0008 or chris@cvillefreeclinic.org.

Nurses

We use nurses to assist our Nurse Practitioner during our daytime clinics on Monday-Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and to support our volunteer providers during evening clinics on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:15 to 8:30 p.m. Additionally, we use "follow-up" nurses to review charts and schedule referral appointments. Mental Health Professionals

We use psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, and social workers to provide mental health assessments, counseling and medication management for CFC medical patients during our evening clinics on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Contact CFC Patient Care Manager Christine Worsham at 434-295-0008 or chris@cvillefreeclinic.org.

Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians

We use pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to fill and dispense medications during our evening clinics at our licensed, on-site pharmacy on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. If you are a pharmacist, contact CFC Pharmacy Coordinator Chris Hicks at 434-295-8958 or pharmacy@cvillefreeclinic.org. If you are pharmacy technician or interested in training to become a pharm tech, contact CFC Director of Clinic Operations Laura Young at 434-295-8962 or laura@cvillefreeclinic.org.

Dental Professionals

The CFC Dental Clinic uses dentists, dental hygienists and dental assistants to see patients during our day, evening and Saturday dental clinics. Non Health Care Professionals:

Of course! We use volunteers during our day and evenings to help with reception, phones, patient eligibility screenings, data entry and administrative tasks. Contact CFC Director of Clinic Operations Laura Young at 434-295-8962 or laura@cvillefreeclinic.org.

Interpreters

Yes. If you speak Spanish, Farsi, Chinese or Russian, the CFC Medical Clinic needs your help assisting non-English speaking patients during our evening medical clinics Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Contact CFC Director of Clinic Operations Laura Young at 434-295-8962 or laura@cvillefreeclinic.org.

Medical Students

The CFC has a number of ways for UVA medical, nursing, and dental students and pharmacy residents to get involved during our evening clinics and with special projects like our insulin titration program and glaucoma screening. Undergraduate Students

There are opportunities for UVA undergraduate students to volunteer at the CFC, however all undergraduates must volunteer through Madison House or the University Internship Program (UIP).

High School Student

We cannot accept high school student volunteers or interns.
