The Charlottesville Free Clinic provides free prescription medications and diabetic supplies for current CFC patients only. Medications must be prescribed by a CFC volunteer or staff provider. The CFC Pharmacy has a wide variety of medications for infections, diabetes, high blood pressure, depression, high cholesterol, asthma and other common illnesses. The CFC Pharmacy does not carry controlled substances.
The CFC Pharmacy is staffed by volunteer pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Our staff Pharmacy Coordinator is Chris Hicks. Rx Relief Medication Caseworker Helen Frye completes Patient Assistance Program (PAP) applications to pharmaceutical companies on behalf of individual patients.
Important Note: state and federal laws prohibit the CFC from accepting donated medications from individuals.
All medications and diabetes supplies are free-of-charge, however we do ask for a $3 donation per prescription for those who can afford it.
