About

We are an open door to health care.

The Charlottesville Free Clinic provides a high-quality doctor, dentist, and free medications for community members without affordable access to health care.

  • Our Vision

The Charlottesville Free Clinic is an open door to health care for our neighbors in need.

  • Our Mission

To provide a volunteer-driven, community-based health system for uninsured and underinsured individuals in the greater Charlottesville area.

  • Our History

In 1992, Dr. Paul DeMarco and Dr. Mohan Nadkarni dreamed of
a volunteer-driven clinic that would provide free, high-quality health care to our community — and the Charlottesville Free Clinic was born. Today, the Free Clinic operates out of the generosity of health care professionals who volunteer over 14,000 hours of their time each year.

  • 2,600+

medical & dental patients served each year

  • 8,000+

visits to our clinics each year
