Volunteers are the lifeblood of the CFC. Without their 14,000+ hours of service each year, we would not achieve our mission to provide free medical and dental care for the uninsured adults and their families in the greater Charlottesville/Albemarle community. Each year, a diverse and growing network of about 500 health care professionals, students and community members give their time and expertise to the CFC, providing the majority of our medical services, administrative support, governance, leadership and fundraising support.
Our Volunteers and Partners
In addition to the approximately 500 health care professionals, students, and community volunteers who donate their skills and more than 14,000 hours annually, the CFC is fortunate to have a network of community partners who support the clinic by providing pro bono services ranging from prescription medications, lab and pathology tests, radiology services, specialized medical and dental care, volunteer recruitment and training, marketing and communications expertise and accounting services.
