The Charlottesville Free Clinic provides free primary medical care, prescription medications and acute dental care for working uninsured adults and their families in the greater Charlottesville/Albemarle community. Medical care is provided by volunteer physicians and nurse practitioners, and the CFC's on-staff nurse practitioner. Patients are seen by appointment at our Daytime Clinic Monday through Thursday and during Evening Clinics on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights.

Prescriptions are dispensed by volunteer pharmacists at the CFC's on-site Pharmacy during Evening Clinics. Acute dental care is provided by volunteer dentists and dental hygienists during select Evening Clinics at the CFC's on-site dental suite.

An additional part of our mission is to educate young health care providers, who work under the supervision of a fully licensed practitioner and to accumulate information in support of a comprehensive policy for access to health care.

"Working people without health insurance have come to depend upon and need our services. Every day, people tell us that they don't know where they would go if the Charlottesville Free Clinic didn't exist." - Free Clinic Founder, Mohan Nadkarni, MD
