In February, CFC Dental Clinic will undergo an exciting new expansion and renovation so that it can serve more community members and provide services for a new community partner. This will be a low cost, internal renovation inside our existing Dental Clinic space; we will add a fourth dental operatory and convert a storage area into a front desk and office.

The project will focus on more efficient use of the space that already exists in the CFC Dental Clinic. This is possible because we no longer need to keep a library paper dental records due to our transition to electronic dental records. The project will help meet the extensive need for dental care in our community. We will complete this project with the help of Martin Horn, Patterson Dental, the donors who helped build our dental capital fund, operating support from the City of Charlottesville and the County of Albermarle, and most importantly our dental community – who provides volunteers.  Thank you to all our supporters who make this renovation possible.

The CFC dental clinic saw 1,869 patients last year, offering 4,102 visits to community members below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line.
