Volunteer Vittles

At the Charlottesville Free Clinic, dinner is provided to fuel our volunteer healthcare workers before their evening clinic shifts year round. Many volunteers are coming to the Free Clinic after working a full shift at UVA, Sentara Martha Jefferson, or a private practice here in town. Having a freshly prepared meal ready for them is just one of the ways to say “Thank you!” for all of the work that they do to keep our community healthy.

How you can help us:

Sign up to donate a dinner to our volunteers!

  • Dinner donations are needed for evening clinics, which are every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 4:30pm - 7:30pm. Dinner pickup for evening clinics is at 4:00 p.m.
  • Donor restaurants can sign up to give once a month, once a quarter, or once every 6 months (one-time donations are always welcomed too!).
  • Our clinics have roughly 20 volunteers each night.
  • To sign up, please email volunteercoordinator@cvillefreeclinic.org or call (434)295-8962 to inquire about dinner donations.

How we can help you:

The Charlottesville Free Clinic provides health care at no cost to nearly 3,000 Charlottesville area residents. Over 70% of our medical patients are employed, many of them in the food, beverage, and hospitality sector. According to our 2019 survey, 1-in-6 of all of our patients surveyed worked in a restaurant. If you are struggling to find health care for you or your staff, the Free Clinic is here to help. Visit one of our pages below, or call (434)296-5525.
